HELLO...ARE THERE ANY OTHER BRIGHTS OUT THERE? MARIA...JESSICA...MOM...GET POSTING! WE NEED YOU TO REPRESENT FOR YOUR AREAS!
KT...you are excused...you've posted lately...but you can add more if you want!

Bowen loves Ben!

I just wanted to tell you about watching Ben the other day....

So, while Alex had surgery number two in this round...Clair and Bowen and I watched Ben! Bowen is kind of jealous lately of my attention to other kids (nursery is not fun) so I wasn't sure how it would all work out! However, I was so happy to see Bowen totally lovin' Ben! He kept touching him gently, talking to him, and trying to hug Ben while Ben sat in his exersaucer. It was so cute. And darling little Ben would look at Bowen like he was insane, but would smile when Bowen would laugh or "talk " to him! I am so glad Bowen has such sweet boy cousins! Watch out world when they are all old enough to get into trouble...I think there will be lots of it! :)

Fun Presidents Day Weekend!

We had a great long weekend for Pres. Day. We went to the mountains in North Carolina with our friends and neighbors, the Messerklingers...or as Clair calls them, "our German friends". It was kind of a glummy weekend weather wise. But we enjoyed a few refreshing hikes...some nice drives...great lookouts (even if it was foggy and cloudy)...the best food three times a day...fun board games...some spirited foosball games...learned some new German words...had several late nights...and lots of laughs!

Kate, Clair, & Katharina at a senic overlook.

The whole group after a hike.
Here we are in front of the cabin...called Bear-e Nice.
The girls again...on a hike at Linville Falls. It was chilly!
This is one of the veiwing spots for the falls...to the left (out of the photo) was the falls...to the right and way down was the gorge that the water ran through before another set of falls. It was so beautiful. Pictures just don't do it justice.

SC Snow Day Pictures

Mother Nature sent us a little fun in January. We got some snow...and school was cancelled. Too bad our Daddy was out of town and couldn't enjoy it with us. It was SO cold...but the kids just had to get out and play in the snow...followed by some nice marshmellowie hot chcolate...I enjoy snow...for the one day a year we get it in SC! So, what do you do when it snows in SC...

Make snow angels...the first thing my girls did!

Stay off the roads! We were advised to stay off the roads...
but that didn't stop Bowen from riding on his favorite bike!

Eat snow...Bowen kept plunging his whole face and taking big bites...
just watch out for yellow snow!

Little Clair - Bear or should I say Little Snow Bunny! She calls this coat her "purple marshmellow coat"!

What is a snow day with out snowball fights! Kate loved this part!
